The D modal chord has a great drone effect; adding the C natural to this keeps the drone going while changing the color slightly. The B minor chord is also quite sparse thus continuing the droning texture. Notice that I am emphasizing beats 3 and 6 quite a bit in the first part. In the second part I follow the main notes of the melody in the bass line. Three of the four chords in the descending passage are played with the same shape, with just a slight adjustment for the B minor.
